DigiMemo

is here!

  < COMPAMERICA SUPPORT BULLETIN #SB-1431  6/14/07 rev 2.

Installing and using CompAmerica's DigiMemo under Microsoft Windows VISTA
(note: this procedure is identical to that used with Windows XP and 2000! Screen differences may be viewed below...)

Step 1:  Insert DigiMemo CDROM.   Step 2: click Links for DigiMemo Manager and MyScript Notes.   Step 3:  Plug in Digimemo (USB)

RESULTS: After installing the DigiMemo software and drivers from the DigiMemo CD, and inserting the DigiMemo's USB cable into the PC and DigiMemo, with "-- U --" on the DigiMemo's LCD Screen... the system will show you the status of your Device Drivers.  Here is a sample screen of PROPERLY defined DigiMemo devices under Microsoft Windows Vista...

To open up DigiMemo's from your F: (or a drive letter assigned to the DigiMemo), use "File > Import Digital Pages" and browse to F:/dmemo-m.

NOTE: Here is how the DigiMemo Manager looks running under Microsoft Windows Vista (any version):

(It looks essentially the same as under Windows XP and 2000!)

To run hand writing recognition, open your DigiMemo Manager and create or open any DigiMemo eBook you wish to convert to Typed Text. Next,  Press the R button with the Red arrow beneath it!  Handwriting Recognition is activated..

Handwriting Recognition looks like this under Microsoft Windows Vista… The three buttons beneath Graphics and Text allow you to save your resulting Text in Outlook/Outlook Express, Microsoft Word, or (reduced to flat text) Notepad.  It is best to save the documents to Microsoft Word or Outlook, to preserve the layout of your original handwriting.  (Note: visit our Tech Support page, to find out how many other ways, DigiMemo interfaces with Microsoft Office 2007 and 2003!)
